I am writing to endorse Dave Tobin, a friend and person of outstanding dedication, integrity and character. I have personally had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with Dave for many years during his time as a reserve officer for the City of Long Beach and during his long and distinguished run as principal of Ilwaco High School. During that time I have witnessed first hand his ability to lead, listen and work with all those around him.

A few years ago when tragedy struck my family, Dave and Michelle were both some of the first to reach out to me and my daughter to offer love, support, and a shoulder to cry on. My friendship with Dave is one of the most valued relationships in my life.

Dave brings an outstanding combination of understanding and a “let’s work together spirit” to everything he’s involved in. His ability to think outside the box while paying attention to the needs of others is amazing. His focus and attention to the smallest of details truly sets him apart as someone that not only sees the bigger picture but also what’s really best for those most affected by his decisions.

Dave’s commitment to his family and community are quite simply second to none and are truly impressive and inspirational. If Dave and Michelle consider you a friend they treat you as family.

Two of Dave’s strongest qualities are his communication and listening skills. He has an exceptional ability to connect with people of all needs. This makes him approachable and respectful as a leader and friend. His willingness to listen along with his ability to offer well thought out solutions to problems foster an environment of trust and cooperation. These skills will help him to successfully lead our county.

In addition to his personal and professional achievements Dave’s character is without a doubt top shelf and impressive. He is honest, reliable, hard working and always willing to volunteer for any community related function. He simply just goes the extra mile needed to make a difference! His positive attitude and strong work ethic are most outstanding. Dave will help move our county and peninsula forward into the future.

In conclusion, I offer my highest recommendation and support for Dave Tobin. His leadership, personal skills and character make him an outstanding voice for us all. He simply is a leader we can all trust and be proud of. I am confident that he will be humbled by your support.
