We’d like to endorse Debbie Oakes for a second term as Public Utility District commissioner. She has performed in a superb manner for her first term. It was a very steep learning curve and she has gotten on top of the job and excelled in her six years. No resting on her laurels here, she’s always learning and implementing.

Debbie is accessible and will take the time to explain the challenges facing our county power issues. She’s been active in the five-year Strategic Plan. All the current bonds will be paid off this year, we’ll be debt free! Notice we have maintained low cost power rates as a result of the efforts of this board, of which Debbie is a key member.
