SOUTH BEND — The following cases highlighted the Aug. 30 Pacific County Superior Court felony criminal docket:

Sheri L. Green, 51 — She is accused of possessing a stolen vehicle after a Dodge Ram truck was stolen on June 1 and she was located with the vehicle in Grayland. The alleged victim was able to have Verizon ping a cell phone that was still inside the truck, which led officers to its location.

Green was found near the vehicle, which was parked near an abandoned trailer. She allegedly attempted to hide in the bushes, but was unsuccessful. Law enforcement reportedly located several assumed stolen items in the vicinity, as well as illicit drugs.

According to court records, Green was referred to drug court on July 26. Following that hearing, a question of competency was raised and a competency evaluation was ordered Aug. 9 and completed Aug. 20.

The evaluation found that Green had no major psychiatric disorder, mental illness or defect that would limit her ability to understand the case or assist in her defense. It was also noted she had a clear understanding of the allegation against her.

In the evaluation, she also admitted that there was an issue between her and her defense attorney, Karrie Young, and that it was unlikely the two could work together.

According to court records, the court entered an order on Aug. 23 finding her competent and she represented herself for the hearing. She informed the court she would no longer be seeking drug court and wanted to continue to trial.

The hearing was set over to Sept. 6 because her counsel “must be present” at the hearing. As of reporting, her trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 22.

Christopher J. Amador, 35 — He is charged with two counts of third-degree rape of a child and two counts of felony harassment. He was charged after a school district in the county reported a student came forward about being sexually assaulted.

According to court records, the charges were filed on Jan. 9, 2020, and the case had not progressed for four years until Amador sent the court a letter dated Feb. 23. In the letter, he informed the court that he was being held in the Snohomish County Jail on an unrelated case. He requested that he be served a warrant to address the case.

The case has seen very little movement so far in 2024. It was scheduled for a pretrial and trial-setting hearing, but it was instead set over to Sept. 6. There are currently no trial dates scheduled.

Paul. R. Carlisle — He was arrested on Aug. 24 after allegedly entering a home in Ocean Park and demanding money owed to him be repaid. Two occupants inside the home told investigators Carlisle pointed a firearm at him. He currently faces one count of first-degree burglary. He was scheduled for an arraignment hearing, subsequently set over to Sept. 6.

Scott D. Reeder, 55 — He is facing one count of second-degree burglary for his alleged involvement in breaking into an old shop on the outskirts of South Bend on Feb. 6. He entered a waiver of speedy trial through Oct. 30 and his pretrial hearing was scheduled for Sept. 20. There are currently no dates scheduled for a trial.
