The Pacific County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call and learned Paul R. Carlisle, 42, reportedly entered the residence seeking money he said he was owed. He allegedly stated that if he wasn’t provided the money, he was going to take the alleged victim’s truck, according to court records.
“[The alleged victim] stated that they told Carlisle to leave three times, and he would not leave,” Deputy Justin Smith said in court records. “[The alleged victim] stated that Paul said, ‘Do you really want to try stabbing me b****?’ [The alleged victim] stated at this point Paul pulled out his gun and pointed at him and [a female].”
The female allegedly tried to call for help but was prevented from doing so by Carlisle. She eventually got a call out to the Pacific County 911 Dispatch Center.

“[The alleged victim] stated at this point Paul pointed the gun at both of them again and said, ‘You’re a dead man,’ and then left,” Smith stated.
Smith was able to locate Carlisle and arrest him. Carlisle alleged that he went over to the reported victim’s house to collect $1,500 he was owed for work. He alleged that they started arguing and a female at the residence pulled a knife on him.
According to court records, the female took a short video of the incident, which reportedly depicts Carlisle choking the alleged victim and stating, “I want my f****** money.”
Carlisle’s girlfriend subsequently handed over a handgun to Smith and PCSO Deputy Dustin Eaton that reportedly matched a description provided by the alleged victims.
Carlisle faces a charge of first-degree burglary with assault. His bail was set at $50,000 during a preliminary hearing in Pacific County Superior Court on Aug. 26.
