Ocean Park Elementary is launching the “Sandpiper Story Squad,” a reading assistance program to help students enhance their reading skills. We’re seeking volunteers to spend 15-20 minutes with a child, listening to them read and discussing the story. Volunteers can choose their schedules.

This rewarding experience will let you witness the growth of our local students. We aim to begin in October, with training sessions provided. Our goal is to have 10 volunteers daily so each of our 205-215 students can have at least one reading session a week. We need around 50 volunteers to make this happen.
