When I wrote the letter to the editor saying the feds should stop taxing our Social Security income, I had no idea that President Trump would announce his plan to do that — stop taxing seniors’ Social Security. In fact President Trump announced his plan the day after I submitted my letter to the Chinook Observer.

I also recall that President Trump announced his plan to stop taxing tips on July 24. Now I see that Harris is copying President Trump’s proposals. Harris is in power now and has been in power since the 2020 election, so why hasn’t she already stopped taxing seniors’ Social Security income and stop taxing tips on hard-working employees?

Maybe Harris should come up with some original plans to ease the pain of Americans who are struggling to pay for the record high prices of food and medicine, gas, energy, etc.

And why hasn’t Harris the Biden-appointed “border czar” not closed our borders? She has allowed over 15 million illegal aliens to walk across our borders, many of them are on the terrorists list and many of them are criminals that were sent here from Latin American countries.

Our country is a mess right now and someone had to get us back on the road to safety and prosperity.
