There are always a lot of “BOGO” (buy one get one) sales going on, but it usually refers to merchandise — like buy one pair of shoes and get the other pair free.

Because we have a high census of adorable kittens right now, we are having a great Kitten BOGO where two kittens ages 2-11 months can be adopted for only $150! Much more exciting to think that one can adopt two darling kittens who will supply their new owners with endless affection and playful antics for years and years versus two pair of shoes that will wear out in just a few months…

Most of our adoptable kittens are currently in the age range of 3-5 months old, the perfect age to fit into a new family, especially one with kids or other cat-friendly pets. We have some darling black “mini panthers” like Midge, Pink, Red,Skipper, Paul, Barbie, Blue and Ken. And in the tuxedo department are Tippi, Hugo, Yates, Blueberry and very charming Pinto. Rune and sweet Mauve sport cut-velvet gray coats, and representing the tabby “mini tigers” are Abbey and Angel.

Fun events coming up

The Dog Days of Summer at North Jetty Brewing. Join us on Sunday, Aug. 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at North Jetty Brewery where it will be all about the dogs! We will have adoptable dogs at the event, as well as members of our great Dog Walker team who are very familiar with the shelter dogs and can tell you all about them. We’ve got some great raffle items, and $1 from all North Jetty beer pints sold goes to the shelter, until 7 p.m. Fred Carter will provide entertainment from 1-3 p.m. Shelter staff and volunteers will be there to welcome you!

We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
