The letter to the editor about not taxing Social Security piqued my curiosity about what is being done to make that a reality.

I found that there is currently a proposed “You Earned It, You Keep It Act” (HR 8074) sponsored by Rep. Angie Craig (D-MN) through the Energy and Commerce – Health Subcommittee. It is co-sponsored by Caraveo (D-CO), Davis (D-NC), Khanna (D-CA), Peltola (D-AK), Salinas (D-OR), Scholten (D-MI), Sorenson (D-IL), Pettersen (D-CO), Lofgren (D-CA), Landsman (D-OH), and Casten (D-IL).

The current status is that the proposed bill is still in committee. I appreciate the letter which prompted me to find out more.
