Our dedicated Cuddler team comes from all age groups and walks of life. Our most senior Cuddlers come from our local senior community Golden Sands. They are very faithful, and come every week to play with and socialize with the cats and kittens. They love it and the kitties love the attention! We took some pictures last week to share with you!
Picture #1 — This is Beverly with her favorite kitten “Ruth.” Beverly loves how soft Ruth is, and thinks her Classic Tabby pattern swirls are beautiful! And they are!
Picture #2 — Here Kathy gives some much-enjoyed attention to senior orange boy “Eban.” Eban will purr forever as long as someone is petting him!
Picture #3 — Activities Director Meredith Richardson is taking some time out to cuddle “Pinto.” Pinto is a wonderful kitten who will make a fabulous family pet.
Picture #4 — Here Beverly is proving that you can indeed herd cats! You just need the right toys!
Picture #5 — The senior cuddlers travel in comfort in the community’s bus, which can accommodate wheelchairs and walkers.

We always need more Cudddlers, so if you are interested, go to our website beachpets.com and sign up under the “Volunteer” section. Our Cuddlers play an important part in socializing the cats and kittens at the shelter, and in preparing them for their forever homes. We have a lot of absolutely adorable kittens right now just waiting to add affection and fun to your life! To view available kittens, go to our website and visit the “Adopt” section.
We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
View our available cats and dogs and submit an online application at our website beachpets.com. An approved adoption application is required before scheduling a meet and greet with your selected animal.
