Letter: U.S. can take a lesson from Mexico by electing a woman

Anyone feeling as inspired and light of heart as Sparrow and I feel today? We’re feeling like the Blue Shirts went from bottom of the 9th:

Down by 1 run; 2 out; under a full count, with Great Grandpa Joe struggling to stay alive at the plate; each swing barely connecting bat-to-ball, fouling-off one down-and-dirty pitch after the next.

Abruptly, Joe signals the ump for timeout. He steps out of the batter box just long enough for Dark Brandon to emerge, points to center field and gives the Red Shirts’ pitcher (fella named PutinTrumpJD) the stink-eye. Dark Brandon steps back to the plate, but suddenly, instead of swinging away, he takes one for the team. Dark Brandon shakes off the pain and takes his base, then salutes his teammate Kamala.

As Kamala steps up to the plate the crowd cheers:

Mexico did it!

Think of Her

and just hit it.

Anyone got any ideas how to import Mexico’s democratic sense of integrity for life so the U.S.A. can get back in the game? Wake U.S. up; — now! To hell with opioids and fentanyl! Let’s import the spirit of Mexican democracy — if Mexico’s peoples can elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to champion democracy south of our border, it can be done here.
