Thank you for running Mick Klein’s July 15 letter about the obscene language we have had to endure in recent political campaigns.

Since 2016 it’s been a Pandora’s box of disgust on public display: t-shirts, bumper stickers, flags, etc. with obscene language and fingers flipping you off. It’s sad this has become normalized over the past years. Small children and my grandmother certainly don’t need to see that in the bread aisle of the local store or community events.
Some of those words are not permitted on TV, but on a public flag it’s okay? Are name-calling and obscenity the leadership qualities we want in our president that represents us to the world? Please give me a candidate that can talk policy and not remind me of some of my second graders getting in trouble on the playground.
