Naselle’s Finn Fest planned this weekend

NASELLE — In combination with the Finnish American Folk Festival of Naselle (FAFF) being held at the Naselle Community Center this year titled “A Taste of Festival,” the Appelo Archives Center will be open, serving Finnish foods and an “Outdoor Olut” (beer garden), plus Finlandia Vodka cocktails and other Finn-themed drinks.
Finn Fest events are planned this Friday and Saturday, mostly at the community center at 14 Parpala Road. For a complete schedule, see www.facebook.com/NaselleFAFF.
On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a variety of offerings at the archive center, 1056 State Route 4. Finnish foods including meatballs with new potatoes, lingonberry or cloudberry jam; rice pirakkas, ebelskeivers, and pulla will be available to buy.
There will be Scandinavian exhibits, materials on display from previous festivals, and Scandinavian items for sale, too.
