OYSTERVILLE — Singer-songwriters Millionth Street promise a wide variety of musical styles in their Sunday, June 21 Music Vespers performance at the Oysterville Church.
The historic building with its long tradition of summer Music Vespers seems the perfect venue for performers Bob and Janet (who use their first names only) and who are summertime residents here on the Long Beach Peninsula.
Sunday’s program will mark the halfway point of this 46th Vesper Season, which began on Father’s Day and will continue through Labor Day Sunday. Sponsored by the Oysterville Restoration Foundation and organized by Sue and Bill Svendsen of the Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, each week’s service is led by Steven Kovach (“Pastor Steve”). This Sunday, pianist Barbara Bate will accompany the congregational hymn-singing and storyteller Sydney Stevens will present the traditional “Oysterville Moment.”
Music Vesper services are open to the public and are free of charge. All are encouraged to “come as you are” to the 3 p.m. service to enjoy an hour of fellowship and music in this historic setting.
