Pacific County PUD to distribute one-time $200 bill credit

LONG BEACH — Pacific PUD said last week it will participate in the Washington Families Clean Energy Credit Grant program, which offers bill credits of $200 per residential household to eligible residential customers through their electric account.

The county’s electric utility is working with the Washington State Department of Commerce and Promise to provide this aid to low to moderate income households.
The Department of Commerce will distribute grants to all utility companies in Washington, enabling them to pass on credits to customer accounts by Sept. 15. The funding for this program comes from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act (CCA). The CCA supports Washington’s climate action efforts by putting cap-and-invest dollars to work reducing climate pollution, creating jobs and improving public health. How to apply:
Residents interested in applying for the Washington Families Clean Energy Credit Grant can do so online. The application process is fast and easy. One credit per eligible household. You will need:
• Your PUD account number;
• The number of people living in your household as of today;
• The total gross annual income for 2023 (last year) for all the adults in your household.
With that information, visit wacleanenergycredits.com and complete the short survey. If your household qualifies, the PUD will be automatically notified and apply the $200 credit directly to eligible accounts.
