The officer checked the area as well and did not locate anyone matching the description.

July 3 — A reporting party wanted officer contact regarding a hit and run to her vehicle on Friday night near Bolstad. An officer advised her that he could not do an accident report from days earlier and she should have called when it happened. The officer let her know she can pick up a self-report form and complete the report herself and supply the pictures she took to her insurance company.

A reporting party came into the LBPD office to report that she had a marine-grade battery valued at $400 stolen out of her motor home and replaced with a car battery. She suspected someone because he had stolen a key from her. She was given a statement form to complete if a witness can be located.

July 4 — It was reported that a hotel guest walked into a room that had an open door and took two cellphones. Earlier in the day he was in a fight with someone and was asked to leave but told people he would be back. He was described as wearing a weird tank top. The hotel just wanted the phones returned and did not wish to press charges unless the phones were not returned. An officer spoke with the suspect’s mom regarding the severity of the situation. The officer later learned the phones had been returned.

Ariana A. Emmert, 23 of Port Orchard, was cited for second-degree driving while license suspended.

Allen Salvador, 26 of Ilwaco, was cited for third-degree driving while license suspended.

It was reported that a male and female were arguing by the pool at a Long Beach motel and the male grabbed the female by the arm and also threatened her with a taser. An officer will be interviewing the suspect and reviewing surveillance footage.

There was a report of an intoxicated male walking toward the Breakers possibly trying to get into his car and drive. An officer located the intoxicated subject in the field between buildings B and C. The subject said he was just walking back to his hotel room. The officer went with him to building D and made sure he got inside safe.

Three officers responded to a report of an assault that just occurred behind the Chowder Stop. An officer contacted a subject in the Bolstad parking lot who explained that he was trying to help tow someone out of the sand when the subject’s boyfriend came up to him and started accusing him of trying to hit their vehicle. No assault took place and all units cleared.

July 5 — Two officers and a park ranger contacted several subjects relating to a disturbance. A subject and one of his friends got into a verbal altercation with several adult males who were fishing at Black Lake. No assault occurred. All parties separated without incident.

July 6 — A person reported being assaulted by a male in a large Chevrolet truck. The person said a truck turned the corner and came close to hitting him so he yelled profanities at the driver. The male driver got out and attempted to confront the person but he yelled more profanities and went into the theater. A short time later the same group of people confronted the person by the bike rentals and punched him in the left eye. An officer attempted to find the vehicle but was unable to locate it. The officer explained to the person and his mother the consequences of using language that could start a fight and how he could be in trouble for it as well in the future if he continues.

July 7 — Officers responded to the 100 block of Bolstad to investigate a reported DUI. When an officer attempted contact, the driver fled on foot. The driver was not located but the vehicle was impounded. It is currently stored in the garage and sealed with evidence tape for a search warrant. Once a search is completed, the officer will contact Hill’s Towing to remove the vehicle from the garage and take it back to their yard.

Officers responded to a report of an assault at a tavern by a person who said he was pushed by staff member after being asked to leave. He is currently transient and is new to Long Beach, after previously spending most of his time in the Raymond area. He said he was given a ride by a Raymond officer to the Chinook area several days ago, before making his way to Long Beach. “He is a registered sex offender and likely has some mental health-related issues. From speaking with a witness, [the officer learned he] has been coming and going from the tavern for several days and causing various issues. He has been told repeatedly to not return and when he did today, he was stopped at the door by the bartender, and pushed outside to the curb. He did not sustain any injuries and agreed to no longer come back to the tavern. I offered him a ride out of town but he declined and continued on his way.”
