Creme is a charming and affectionate 3-year-old terrier/black-mouth cur mix. She is looking for a temporary home where she can shower her new family with love and receive the care she deserves! Known for her sweet nature and playful spirit, Creme has quickly become a favorite among the shelter staff and volunteers. This delightful pup has an endless supply of energy and loves to run, making her the perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle. Whether it’s a game of fetch or a stroll around the neighborhood, Creme is always ready for an adventure. She is also a true love bug, eager to snuggle up and offer her affection to those around her.

Creme’s fondness for toys is evident as she can often be found happily playing with her favorite squeaky toys and plush animals. Her playful antics and joyful demeanor are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Fostering a dog like Creme offers numerous benefits for both the dog and the foster family. For the pup, fostering provides a comfortable and loving environment away from the stressful conditions of the shelter. This can significantly improve their well-being and increase their chances of finding a permanent home. Foster families play a crucial role in helping dogs adjust to home life, making the transition smoother when they are adopted. Also, fosters see a different side to our pups as they are in a relaxed, home environment. Sharing this with the shelter allows us to provide more information to prospective adopters. An example of this is a dog we have who seemed very dog reactive in the shelter, and we thought he needed to be the only pup of the household. Through a foster placement we found out he loves other dogs, and his reaction to them in the shelter was purely about the stress of living for a long time in this environment.

Fostering allows individuals to enjoy the companionship and love of a pet without a long-term commitment. It’s a wonderful opportunity for those who may not want to adopt but still want to make a difference in a dog’s life. Additionally, fostering can be a great way to teach children about responsibility and the importance of caring for animals.

Moreover, fostering helps shelters by creating space for more animals in need. By taking a dog like Creme into their home, foster families are directly contributing to the rescue and rehabilitation efforts of the shelter. In addition, all food, supplies, any medication or medical requirements are provided by the shelter, so there is no cost to the foster family. And support is also provided, with a dedicated volunteer who knows the dog well-being available for any questions or concerns while a pup is in foster care.

Creme is eager to find a foster family who can provide her with the love, care, and playtime she needs. If you are interested in making a difference in Creme’s life, please contact the shelter to learn more about the fostering process and how you can help. Or if you would like to become a foster for a different dog, please get in touch! We are in great need of reliable fosters who can provide necessary temporary homes for our pups who are particularly struggling in the shelter environment or have shelter fatigue. It is vitally important for these animals. We really appreciate the support of our community.
