June 17 — An officer responded to a report of two males throwing garbage out of a car and running back and forth between their car and a porta-potty, but was unable to locate any issues.

June 18 — Jamie K. Dishman, 57, of Seaview, was charged with third-degree assault after an officer was notified by hospital staff that an RN was bitten by a patient. The victim had a clear and visible bite mark on her left forearm. She told the officer that Dishman was being chemically restrained and she was calming down. The nurse also told the officer that Dishman would likely not be discharged anytime soon as she needed to be on an IV for an infection. When Dishman is discharged she will be booked into jail. “ER staff are the unsung heroes of a community. If people knew all they have to deal with they would be shocked,” LBPD Chief Flint Wright observed.
A resident of Washington Avenue South called to report 40-plus gallons of diesel were siphoned out of his truck while he was in the hospital.
June 20 — Best Western called to report a dine-and-dash of breakfast food. The reporting party said a group of 10 people came in and took breakfast food. She believed they were at a rental across the parking lot.

An officer was dispatched to an alleged assault. A person was giving another a ride home from the food bank when she got upset with him. He refused to get out of the car so she removed him from the car and he then threw eggs on her car. Neither subject wanted to pursue charges and they were advised to stay away from each other.
June 23 — An employee at Long Beach Tavern reported that a named subject was drunk and banging on the tavern windows and yelling. After extensive efforts by police and others to help the man and find an alternative to arresting him, “In the end we got a key to his food truck and tucked him in for the night.”
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle with two girls riding on the roof traveling southbound on State Route 103 from Ocean Park heading toward Long Beach. They were unable to find them.
