Pacific County Pride will be flying its rainbow colors this month.

Events are planned in Raymond June 22 and Long Beach June 23 for advocates and members of the gay and lesbian community and all who identify as part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community to celebrate their diversity.

Raymond events are scheduled June 22. Events begin with a mimosa bar and brunch by Alder and Co./Wild Pines Coffee Company.

From noon to 4 p.m. a beer garden with vendors will operate at the Riverfront Park, 312 Alder St., with music by DJ Mia Ohms. Live music will be provided by Casey and the Common Thread at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m., there will be a walk to celebrate solidarity.

The action shifts to the Raymond Theatre, at 323 Third St., at 5 p.m. where the Imperial Sovereign Court of Tacoma will be featured. The group’s activities in Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, Lewis and Pacific counties are designed to “create a safe, supportive, and social environment for members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Intersex, Transgender and Questioning community.”

Long Beach Pride events will take place on June 23. They will begin with a solidarity walk at 11 a.m. from the Drop Anchor parking lot through downtown to Veterans Field at 111 Third St. SE.

A beer garden, vendors and music with Ohms, the DJ, are on tap that afternoon. Stephanie Anne Johnson, who has opened for Mavis Staples and Robert Cray, will sing at 1 p.m. The Imperial Sovereign Court of Tacoma will appear on the Veterans Field stage at 3 p.m.
