Calico cats come in various patterns, but Pecan has patches of colors that are absolutely gorgeous! Calicos by definition have three colors on their coats, and beautiful Pecan’s colors are orange and black on a white background. She was found wandering in a local neighborhood. The finder described her as a cat who “is very active but loves to be held.”

When she came to the shelter, despite being a young cat, she was found to have several bad teeth, possibly due to a poor diet. She had a full dental service at the vet’s which left her with only 8 teeth, but she does great! She even munches on kibble!

Pecan loves to play with toys, and acts like a kitten. She is fun to watch in the free-range playroom, batting toys around at rocket speed. She can be a bit of a diva with other cats, which is not unusual for calicos. Some call this “The calico tude.”
