Pacific County Superior Court sessions are held in the courthouse in South Bend.

SOUTH BEND — The following cases saw significant progress during the criminal docket of the Pacific County Superior Court on May 3, 2024:

Patricia Clifford, 42 — She is accused of providing fentanyl that led to the untimely death of Ryan M. Knight on Jan. 29, 2024. Her hearing was scheduled for a statement-suppression hearing, and her attorney sought to have statements made by her tossed out.

After hearing testimony and reviewing the case, the court determined that Clifford was aware of her Miranda Rights and knowingly and intelligently made statements — which could have been incriminating.

Clifford’s trial is scheduled to begin on May 28.

Felicia A. Wichert, 28 — She was summoned to appear for an arraignment in connection to alleged drug peddling to confidential informants working for the Pacific County Drug Task Force in late 2022. She did not appear for the hearing, and the court issued a $5,000 warrant for her arrest.

Robert V. Misikin — He was convicted on Dec. 9, 2022, of DUI and third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer and was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison. His sentencing also required the issuance of a SCRAM blood alcohol monitoring device.

According to court records, the SCRAM device detected interference on Jan. 15, 2024, and also detected the presence of alcohol. The court issued a summons for a hearing on March 29, 2024, but Misikin wasn’t given proper notification.

He was scheduled to appear for a review hearing and did not appear. The court issued a $25,000 warrant for his arrest.
