April 29 — A reporting party called 911 to report that she went to the Port of Ilwaco parking lot and contacted a party to ask her to turn her music down. The music was being played loud enough to wake her up. A party went to their trailer and obtained a baseball bat and then began walking around the trailer park carrying the bat. Another party then obtained a baseball bat and exited his trailer prior to an officer’s arrival. The officer contacted both subjects and they agreed to leave one another alone and not brandish baseball bats.

A caller reported a guest at Sandcastle RV Park was intoxicated and refusing to exit the park’s shared shower. At one point he exited the shower naked and was yelling at everyone. Officers responded and a subject directed an officer to the shower room where the man was located. The man was clearly intoxicated and stated he was simply trying to take a shower, while everyone continued to knock loudly on the door. He did admit to opening the door while he was naked, but only did so because of how loudly one of the other guests knocked on the door. He agreed to return to his RV for the night and not interact with any of the other guests.

May 1 — Danny B. Lee, 37, of Long Beach, was booked for fourth-degree assault-domestic violence after he called to report he and his girlfriend got into an argument and she threw a remote control at him and it hit him in the head, resulting in a gash to his forehead. However, the girlfriend claimed Lee was the primary aggressor and pushed her down onto the couch and pinned her down, while she was holding their young daughter. She was able to get up and put her baby down, then Lee threatened to punch her in the face and began to come at her again. She said she threw a can at him to defend herself. Lee was placed under arrest and transported to jail.

May 2 — An officer overheard on the radio Washington State Patrol putting out an officer was down in the Ilwaco area. LBPD along with every Pacific County Sheriff’s Office, WSP and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife unit in south Pacific County responded. Apparently the person called the WSP office in Kelso and spoke to a trooper directly. It turned out to be a person whose name was redacted from the media report. “As soon as we heard who the caller was we had everyone stand down. I got ahold of the trooper and he said that [the person] said it was in the apartment above her.” LBPD officers contacted her and she said that an officer was down in the apartment. Officers took her into protective custody and took her to Ocean Beach Hospital to be evaluated by mental health personnel.

May 4 — Wendy J. Salsbury, 40 of Seaview, was booked for fourth-degree assault-domestic violence after a caller said he was assaulted by his girlfriend.
