Success at Kalama
A couple of days later, Naselle and Ilwaco’s best athletes competed against some of the biggest schools in the region at the Kalama Twilight Invitational.
The standout performance came from Dunagan, who won the triple jump with a personal best of 32-10. The leap was more than six inches farther than she jumped at last year’s state meet to place fifth.
The NHS sophomore was second in the high jump with 4-10 and sixth in long jump with 14-4. She placed in both events at the championships at Yakima in May.
