SOUTH PACIFIC COUNTY — The Peninsula Arts Association will again be offering a graduating senior who is interested in the arts from the Naselle-Grays River Valley or Ocean Beach school districts a $1,000 scholarship.

The scholarship is designed for a student with an interest in furthering their art education through college courses, art workshops, the purchase of art supplies and equipment or private lessons. The PAA requires the student to maintain a 2.5 GPA and have a portfolio including at least one or more finished visual art work per medium to present at the interview, as well as fulfilling other requirements as listed in the Peninsula Arts Association Scholarship Program.

The deadline for receiving applications either by email (penart321@gmail.com) or mail (PO Box 321, Ocean Park, WA 98640) is Friday, April 26. As in the past, PAA will accept the school districts’ scholarship application forms with the additional requirements as stated above. The interview will take place in May, with the date and location to be determined. Scholarship information and the application are available on the PAA’s website, beachartist.org.
