An Ocean Park woman was killed Wednesday morning in a head-on crash on the Astoria-Megler Bridge.

Oregon State Police said Jean Ormiston, 81, crossed the centerline in her Acura CL for unknown reasons at about 11:15 a.m. and collided with a Ford van.

Ormiston was declared dead at the scene. Two of her juvenile passengers were taken to a local hospital, police said, and one had major injuries.

Police said the driver of the van and a passenger were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.

The crash, which is under investigation, occurred in heavy fog.

The Astoria-Megler Bridge was closed for about four hours during the investigation.
