A heartfelt thank you to all who helped make the fifth annual Veterans Appreciation Lunch a success. Committee members Teri and Steve Kovach, Rita Nicely, Cliff Pedersen, Al Betters, Sandra Edwards and John Vale. The Moose Lodge for the financing, the space, the many volunteers and the kitchen crew who served up salad, washed dishes and cut pies.

The Senior Activity Center for taking reservations and preparing the main course, Okie’s for the fresh rolls, all the wonderful community members who donated pies, Fire District #1 for displaying the American Flag, the Coast Guard Auxiliary for greeting, Rachel Lake and the Ilwaco High School Choir for singing the national anthem,and the many folks who volunteered with a smile to serve and honor our veterans.

We are blessed to be in a community where we all show up to honor and support those who have served for us.
