NASELLE — The Comets’ fall volleyball season ended in heartbreak, just shy of qualifying for the state tournament.

But the squad was celebrating when the Columbia Valley League coaches announced their all-league selections.

Rebekah Wirkkala was named league coach of the year.

Senior Kayli Wirkkala and junior MyLinh Schell were named to the all-;eague first team.

Four Comet players earned honorable mentions: Freshman Sophia Colombo, sophomores Brooke Davis and Mylee Dunagan, and senior Gladys Wilson.
