The Peninsula Players are looking for a few good nuns.

The Ilwaco-based theater troupe is already gearing up for its spring musical “Nunsense.”

Auditions are planned 6 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13 with possible call-backs Dec. 14 at the River City Playhouse, 127 Lake St. in Ilwaco.

The director, Pamela Klifar, is looking for five women actors; at least one needs to be young.

People wishing to audition are asked to bring a prepared song with piano accompaniment. It does not have to be long.

There will be a short dance audition to see how actors move to the beat of the music.

The group is aksi recruiting backstage help, including props, set design and costumes, plus help building the set.

“We are also looking for a small pit band, to include drums, bass, clarinet, flute and saxophone,” said long-time troupe leader Rita Smith.
