I want to take a moment to express my support for Matt Lessnau’s candidacy for Ilwaco City Council Seat 4. His unwavering commitment to our community has been nothing short of inspiring, and I am grateful for the positive impact he’s had on my life and the lives of many others here in Ilwaco.

I moved to Ilwaco during the pandemic, a challenging time for all. During this time, entering a new community and forming new friendships was a particular challenge we did not foresee. As a newcomer to this community, he welcomed my family with open arms and made time to foster a true friendship. This is a testament to his character and a reflection of the kind of community he works tirelessly to create.

Watching his dedication to Ilwaco and the people who call it home has been truly inspiring. Matt’s passion for our town has motivated me to become more deeply involved in our community, just as he has. His commitment to supporting local businesses, including my own, has not gone unnoticed. I appreciate Matt’s unwavering support, not just through communication but also by actively purchasing items like hats, sweatshirts, and other gear, even though he’s not a fly fisherman himself. Matt’s willingness to support others’ success is a testament to his selfless character.

Matt’s dedication to local projects, such as the Bear Ridge Community Forest, demonstrates his commitment to making Ilwaco an even stronger and more vibrant community. I have no doubt that Matt’s vision for our town and his ability to bring people together will lead to positive changes that benefit us all.
