Animal Shelter Report: Bonded kitty pair Butler and Sylvia are Pets of the Week

- Butler and Sylvia are a happy couple and should stay together.
As fate would have it, sometimes our cats and dogs are placed in wonderful homes, only to return to the shelter years later, when their life circumstances change. This is what recently happened to Sylvia and Butler, who were adopted from the shelter about three years ago, only to return when their owner could no longer care for them.

Butler and Sylvia are a bonded pair, meaning they are best buddies. Butler is a charismatic 4-year-old tuxedo cat with beautiful green eyes. But, it is his purrs that will really get to you!. He purrs pretty much non-stop, and according to his original bio from the shelter, this has been true since he was a wee kitten.
Sylvia is a truly charming 6-year-old tuxedo girl who is bonded to Butler — we think they may have originally come to the shelter as mother and son. When Sylvia first came back to the shelter, she would eagerly come forward for cuddles and then give a cute little growl while she was being petted. But since then, she has relaxed back into the shelter routine, and is just out for all the loving she can get!
Our amazing Cat Cuddler Team has seen just how much Sylvia and Butler adore each other, and so they have banded together to sponsor the duo as a bonded pair. This means they can go to a loving new home together at no cost to their new adopter! This affectionate kitty pair would be an ideal new addition to a household wanting “his and hers” cats. If you are interested in Sylvia and Butler, visit our website beachpets.com and go to the “Adopt” section to submit an application electronically. Once staff has reviewed your application, we will contact you to make arrangements for you to meet these sweet kitties!

Shelter Wish List
We want to thank everyone who answered our call for donations of Purina Kitten Chow, and we would be grateful to receive any additional donations, as we still have a high census of kittens at the shelter. Another item we are running very low on is laundry detergent, and we do a boatload of laundry every day! The type of detergent we need to use in our commercial washer is called Boardwalk Huracan 40 Low Suds Industrial 40 pounds. It can be obtained online at Amazon and other retailers. The name is Huracan — this is not a typo!
The dogs and puppies have also asked us to request donations of Nylabones, all sizes and chewing strengths. These are readily available on Amazon and Chewy, and give the dogs and puppies hours of chewing enjoyment. We are so grateful for all the wonderful donations from our supporters! Thank you!
We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
View our available cats and dogs and submit an online application at our website beachpets.com. An approved adoption application is required before scheduling a meet and greet with your selected animal.
