Charlie

Based on his energy and activity level, you would never know that little maltese poodle mix Charlie is 13 years old! He loves to go for walks, and dances and prances with attention. Charlie came to us when his owner could no longer care for him. He enjoys a couple of brisk walks every day, and has become a staff favorite due to his sweet nature.

He is looking for a warm, calm home for his golden years where he would receive regular exercise. Charlie would love someone to cuddle up with. He is pleasantly interested in other dogs, and might be a good companion for another dog-friendly dog. A family with kids would probably be fine, as long as they were respectful of him.

Beautiful long-haired tabby Elsha, unlike a lot of cats who end up in the shelter, has flourished since she has been here! When she first came to the shelter, this three and a half year old girl was reserved and cautious in her new environment. But, thanks to the patience and gentle interactions with our wonderful Cat Cuddler team of volunteers, she has grown more comfortable and trusting. She has grown so much more outgoing that she is often the first cat to greet visitors to the free range room where she resides with other cats.

Her playful nature has emerged, and she eagerly engages in games and in play with toys. She is ever so gentle with our two youngest Cuddlers who come to visit weekly with their grandma.

Elsha pretty much minds her own business in her multi-cat residence, and does not seem to take part in the occasional “kitty squabbles” that break out once in a while.

She might be a good companion for another cat-friendly cat. As POW, Elsha’s adoption fee has been halved to just $25. Come and meet this beauty! She will enrich the lives of everyone in her new home!

Kitten Palooza starts Sept. 12

We have a shelter full of the most adorable kittens you’ve ever seen, and to help them find their forever homes, we are having a 50% off usual adoption fee promotion. This means the kittens 3-12 months old are only $50 and they are fully vetted! This includes spay or neuter, immunizations, flea treatment, worming, and microchipping! The event will run from Sept. 12, 2023, to Sept 26, 2023.

We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
