Good buddies River and Miso are Pets of the Week.

Quite often we get questions from our visitors if we know which of the cats might be good companions together in a new home. Well, this week’s kitties River and Miso are best buddies and would love to go to a home together!

Most Popular

River is a year and a half old black and white girl who came to us in April 2022. Sadly, you read that right! She arrived at the shelter as a wee kitten with an upper respiratory and eye infection which required treatment before she was available for adoption. Her infections are all cleared up now, and shouldn’t be any trouble in the future. Because she has been in the shelter so long, she has become a little shy around the people she doesn’t know. She is affectionate with the staff and our Cat Cuddlers and enjoys attention from them.

Over time, River has bonded with Miso, a charming 7-month-old white and orange boy. Miso was brought to the shelter, along with his littermates, by a caring person who saw their mama struggling to raise her kittens outdoors. Like River, Miso can be shy with strangers, but is playful and does enjoy attention. We think that because River and Miso were both shy, they found comfort in each others’ company, often sleeping curled up together in the same bed.

It would be wonderful if some kind person would step forward and give both of these kitties a home together. We will adopt them separately, but they would be great “his and her” companions for a quiet couple, or they would have each other when a working owner had to be away from home. As Pets of the Week, their adoption fees would be halved. Miso’s adoption fee would be only $37.50, and River’s fee only $25 — because she is a little older. That’s only $62.50 for this nice young bonded pair of cats who are sure to brighten up your life! If you are interested in adopting River and Miso or any of the other shelter pets, visit our website beachpets.com and follow the instructions under the “Adopt” section.
