Did I hear that there is a push to close the beach to driving? From the same people who wanted to ban fireworks?

If you need a reason to give others that closing the beach to driving is a very bad idea, then just remind them that concessions will be demanded, in that there will have to be an off-road vehicle area to match the area for every square foot of additional closed beach. Then you will also need to have a separate area for every other activity (horse riding, kite-powered carts, etc.).
If that’s not enough for for them, then I still stand by my words that you will have to shoot me dead to keep me from driving on the beach, and I’m not the only one that has said this. It was open to driving when they moved here and it will be open when they leave the area for good.
Besides, we don’t need to concentrate people next to beach access points and not allow good people the chance to spread out and enjoy the beach by driving to a location away from the access points such that we are not all right next to each other.

Please don’t let a bunch of “I got mine” types pretend to represent anyone but themselves. I think a vast majority are on our side of this, especially those of us who grew up here, raised a family here, and work here. Life keeps us very busy and we don’t have extra time to spend on defending our way of life here, and to keep our area of Washington state as it has always been, and that’s open to everyone! They have their closed areas, and if that isn’t enough, then they should move to somewhere else.
However, if it’s a war they want to start, then that’s totally on them!
