I want to thank you for standing up to share the truth and speaking for many Pacific County residents feel about our current sheriff.

It is not easy to step up to those that present a false narrative in a time when deceptions are believed as truth, especially in a relatively small community.

You may get backlash from those kinds of people but we are very grateful for your honest reporting and excellent letter from the editor offering great advice to our new inexperienced Sheriff Garica.

Very grateful for the hard-working reporters and editor Matt Winters of this award-winning paper.

I hope for our community that our sheriff improves in spite of all that has transpired but it’s up to all of us to remain vigilant.
