Baguette

If you love a mellow, affectionate, playful kitty, three year old Baguette just might be your girl! Hard to believe, this sweet and pretty buff and white girl has been at the shelter since March! She came to us as a stray, and we don’t know much about her. She seemed to be used to other cats, as we put her in the free range “Playroom” and she seems to get along well with the other kitties. She especially enjoys playing with the rambunctious kittens in the room. Go figure!

Baguette enjoys it when visitors come into the Playroom, and is usually the first one to run up to the Cat Cuddlers when they come in.

Baguette would make a loving kitty companion in a family home with respectful kids, or in a home where the resident kitty is looking for a nice companion. We think that this sweet girl has lingered at the shelter for several months is that she arrived at the shelter just as kitten season was breaking. Kittens are hard to compete with, but we know that not everyone wants an energetic kitten, and we are hoping there is someone who will give Baguette her forever home soon.

As Pet of the Week, Baguettes adoption fee has been halved to just $25 and she is more than ready to go!

Join us at the Dog Days of Summer for a pint

North Jetty Brewing is again hosting a very enjoyable fundraiser for the Humane Society. The event begins at Noon on Sunday, Aug. 13, and runs until 4 p.m. During the event, $1 of all North Jetty beer pints poured until 7 p.m. goes directly to the shelter! There will be great raffles, and some of our dog walkers will have shelter dogs on site. These dog walkers spend a lot of time with the dogs, and know a lot about them. There will also be pictures and biographies of other available dogs as well as the cats.

Fred Carter will be entertaining from 1 to 3 p.m. The Brewery is located at 4200 Pacific Way, Seaview. Come meet your friends under the Jetty’s covered patio for a brew and help support the shelter animals!

We are open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only for adoptions and surrenders. Stray drop-off, spay/neuter vouchers and pet food program are available during open hours.
