As a former Ocean Beach Hospital commissioner, I have great hope that the special election to approve a new bond to improve and expand services will succeed, enabling our community to add an urgent care clinic here at our Ocean Beach Hospital campus. As a years-long patient, I have had to make trips across the river to see specialists. The new bond measure will help alleviate that travel time and money for patients. 

We have a great opportunity to save many people the time and expense required to travel to Astoria to see specialty doctors. The bond will also expand the campus here to include improvements to the clinic and hospital. It will also add services to the Ocean Park clinic, as well as upgrades to equipment in the hospital to be able to perform more diagnostic services. To top that off, this new bond is less costly than the bond that was recently paid off. So, in the long run, you will get more and better services for less tax money.
