I’m writing to encourage my fellow Peninsula residents to vote yes! on the upcoming Ocean Beach Hospital facility bond, which will appear on the Aug. 1 ballot.

The bond will fund improvements to the quality of and access to healthcare services here at home. The list of projects the bond will fund includes a much-needed urgent care clinic (I, for one, am tired of driving to Astoria for urgent care. I imagine anyone reading this is as well.)

The other essential projects the bond will fund can be found on the hospital website at www.oceanbeachospital.com).

This bond will cost about $68 per year for the owner of a $400,000 home. This seems a fair price to pay to make sure our community has access to upgraded facilities and local urgent care. Please join me in supporting this measure to vastly improved our hospital and clinics.
