Fred Carter performs in Oysterville this Sunday.

OYSTERVILLE — Well-known local singer-songwriter Fred Carter says, “I’ll be singing some of your favorite songs at the Oysterville Church Sunday.” And, as a musician who often sings several times a week at Peninsula venues, Fred is well-versed in audience “favorites.”

In addition to Fred’s 40 minutes of music, the hour-long Vespers service will include an “Oysterville Moment” by Tucker Wachsmuth, a spiritual message by Pastor Steven Kobach, a traditional hymn sung by the congregation and accompanied by pianist Barbara Bate.

Presented in the historic Oysterville Church each Sunday from Father’s Day through Labor Day Weekend, the Vespers programs are free and open to the public who are encouraged to “come as you are.” The services are sponsored by the Oysterville Restoration Foundation and organized by the Peninsula Arts Center.
