Letter: Fireworks ban threatens our basic economy

Go ahead and take away the Fourth of July celebrations. The whole weekend. Vote that the bothersome does outweigh the revenue our county so relies on for job security. Not even to mention our local businesses that will lose revenue they’ve come to rely on. But again, vote yes if that once-a-year, one-weekend-a-year event is such very intrusive presence.

The spooked-pet syndrome, to be blunt, starts at home. Odds are you, their alpha leader, are suddenly putting off unstable and peculiar energy vibes in comparison to any normal and routine day. They, our pets, not only feel the moment with you but they’ll know what your emotions will be in a half hour’s time before you yourself do! Work on how the holiday effects you personally and a good ole pooch of any and all breeds will follow the lead and react as you do. Like a child, they are a reflection of their owner/parent, right?

So if you must vote yes, so be it, you must! May as well chase or vote away the Rod Run event also. The Garlic Fest is still active I guess, wherever it’s located now. Its attendance is at best 50%, so it’ll fade away easily enough. Gotta cross off New Years at the beach by vacationing families and/or couples. No fireworks, no New Years here.

I’ll grab the hammer and nails. You get the plywood. We’ll be nothing but another one of those ghost towns. And so, will the last person leaving Pacific County turn out the lights? Over and out. Mic dropped!
