Beckett Turner

Ilwaco High School junior hooper Beckett Turner shared the most valuable player award for the 2B Pacific League.

He tied with Raymond senior Morgan Anderson in the annual league basketball honors.

Junior Kyle Morris was named to the all-league first team and Alex West, the squad’s lone senior, was named to the second team. Junior Sam Needham earned an honorable mention.

Five Ilwaco players were named to receive All-Academic honors. They were Turner, West, two juniors, Derek Cutting and Ethan Hopkins, and sophomore Robert Sanders.

Scott Halasz of Chief Leschi was named league coach of the year.
