The Ilwaco girls had a solid showing on the 2B Pacific League basketball all-league selections and Ned Bittner was named coach of the year.

Senior Olivia McKinstry and eighth-grader Mikaila Warfield were named to the first team.

Senior Zoey Zuern was named to the second team. Honorable mentions went to senior Ione Sheldon, freshman Sophia Bittner and eighth-grader Brooklyn Avalon.

Ilwaco players were well represented with All-Academic recognition. Honored were all five seniors, McKinstry, Zuern, Sheldon, Julianna Fleming and Chloe Stringer, plus junior Kaitlyn Banuet and freshman Aili Tynkila and Sophia Bittner.

Sophomore Karsyn Freeman of Raymond was named the league’s most valuable player.
