Letter: Gluesenkamp Perez deserves vote in top-two primary

Dynamic Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a young woman with quite a background. She is a mother, holds a degree in Economics, and runs a small and growing car repair business with her husband. She grew up working with immigrants, which has given her a humanitarian understanding and a commitment to civil rights.

Marie Perez is worth considering in the Aug. 2 primary election for the 3rd Congressional District. She faces a white supremacist and our incumbent Republican, who has been singularly unresponsive to her constituents. Democrat Perez offers a welcome change of direction from a person who is committed to democracy and finding solutions.
