Letter: 2nd Amendment protects our free country

In last week’s edition I see a flurry of letters and opinions against our Second Amendment. And the ink isn’t hardly dry from Memorial Day holiday.

Those against the very thing which created this free country should be ashamed of themselves. Those living in the lap of luxury of this free country have nothing better to do than (try to) tear it down. And those who pass themselves off as enlightened know nothing about human nature and the real world we live in.

I agree there is a scourge on society, but it is not the Second Amendment and the citizen’s right to protect themselves.
