Letter: Want safety? Get a Kevlar burka

Repeal the Second Amendment. It was written to avoid funding an army at a time when firearms were handmade and muzzle-loading. It is now used as an excuse for irresponsible cruel behavior.

People who claim they want to protect themselves are missing the point of a gun. Guns are offensive weapons. Look at the Russian generals who were shot. Police and security guards are shot. You want protection? Get a Kevlar burka. And if we don’t get effective gun safety legislation, we are all going to need one.
