Boys soccer: Ilwaco trio earn All-League honors

ILWACO — A trio of Ilwaco soccer players earned All-League honors for their accomplishments on the pitch during the 2022 season.

Fishermen senior midfielder Jaden Turner was a first-team selection along with sophomore forward and brother Beckett Turner. Ilwaco senior goalkeeper Sam Glenn was an honorable mention.
Jaden, Beckett and Sam were instrumental to Ilwaco’s success during the 2022 season, where the Fishermen finished with a program-best 7-8 overall record, including a fifth-place finish in the highly-competitive Evergreen 1A League, narrowly missing the district playoffs.
Among the most memorable wins of the season came in the very first game, when brothers Jaden and Beckett each scored a hat trick (three goals) to lead the Fishermen to a decisive 7-2 victory over Eatonville.
