Letter: Stop the outrage, reform gun laws

I am writing to express my outrage at continuing refusal by the Republican Party to cooperate in enacting meaningful gun reform. Background checks should be a no brainer. But apparently the party has no brain, or heart.

Though the party’s corporate donors are recognized as persons by the courts, they have no corporeal being that can be affected by the harms they cause in refusing to support reform.

The party claims to be “pro-life” but is really only pro-prebirth. Damn the living who need help. Is it really going to take a fool shooting up your own child’s school to get a reaction from you? Shame on you for not acting already. How many more children? How many more grandparents? How many more teachers? How many more innocent bystanders? How many more suicides? Stop this outrage now!
