Football semifinal: Naselle’s 2021 season ends with defeat as Comets lose to speedy Warriors, 68-32

- Junior Kolten Lindstrom was at the center of many plays and scored three touchdowns during the 1B semifinal against Almira-Coulee-Hartline. Naselle fell 68-32 against the speedy eastern Washington team, which will play Quilcene in the championship game.
MOSES LAKE — Naselle’s hopes of two consecutive 1B championship appearances were dashed Saturday.
The Comets lost to a fast and uncompromising Amira-Coulee-Hartline team in the WIAA semifinal at Moses Lake Saturday.
The score was 68-32.
Covid shutdowns disrupted the 2020 season and meant no state winners. In 2019, Naselle beat Amira-Coulee-Hartline in the semis to advance to the final where the Comets lost to Odessa. Naselle’s 2018 season also ended with a losing semifinal against A-C-H.
