Peninsula mental health advocates are tapping into a statewide Covid Stress and Trauma Education Program.
“Covid and the events of the last year have taken a tremendous toll on the health and well-being of many,” said Nikki Fortuna, president of Peace of Mind Pacific County, the local advocacy group.
Priority Spokane has partnered with the Center for Trauma and Stress Education to provide free training for individuals and groups in Washington. Fortuna said these are designed to offer tools and support to address stress and trauma caused by the pandemic.
The trainings can be either virtual or in-person and include six one-hour sessions. Sessions can be presented in three or six weeks. The maximum number of attendees is eight.
