ILWACO — The Raymond-South Bend girls soccer team swarmed the Ilwaco Lady Fishermen 11-0 Monday evening in Ilwaco.

Ilwaco (1-4-1) slipped to sixth place in the 2B Pacific League standings with the loss while Raymond-South Bend (2-4) improved to fourth place with the win.

The Indians were led by junior Elli Capps, who scored a first-half hat trick with a trio of back-to-back-to back goals.

South Bend junior Kenia Villegas opened the scoring with a close-range shot four minutes into the match, giving the Indians an early 1-0 lead.

Capps scored the next three goals, including two breakaway goals at the 32 and 31-minute mark, followed by an ankle-breaking stop-and-go strike to give the Indians a 4-0 advantage midway through the first half.

Ilwaco sophomore forward Abbiegail Williams and junior midfielder Ione Sheldon threatened with scoring opportunities late in the first half, but were turned away by a stifling South Bend defense.

Indian freshmen Dakota Bale headed a corner kick, pushing the lead to 5-0 at the 5-minute mark.

Indian junior Kenia Villegas added the final score of the half at the 2-minute mark, giving the Indians a 6-0 lead that ultimately swelled into 11-0 victory.
