PORTLAND — RC Grundy, 89, passed away peacefully Feb. 2, 2020, with family by his side. RC was born Nov. 3, 1930, in Slayton, Texas, the son of Ralph and Lillie Grundy.

After his time in the service he married Margaret Rom and they settled in Portland, Oregon where they raised their family. They celebrated 65 years of marriage.

After retiring in 1992 they moved to the Long Beach Peninsula where they lived until they moved back to Portland in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. Surviving are his six children, 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Martha Holcomb.

A Catholic Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 14 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Portland. Mass at 11 a.m. and a reception will follow.
