ILWACO — Tiana Ramsey had seven steals and eight points in Ilwaco’s 59-17 victory over South Bend Friday, Jan. 17. Ramsey scored all eight of her points in the first quarter, when Ilwaco put the game away.

Neither team scored in the first two minutes, but Ilwaco made up for lost time.
After an Estella Sheldon three-pointer, Erika Glenn got a steal and fed Ramsey. Kylie Gray followed with a blocked shot, then ran the floor and hit a lay-up, giving Ilwaco seven points in 51 seconds. Ramsey nailed a pair of threes late in the quarter, and Ilwaco led 24-2 after one.
Gray continued showing her power near the basket, scoring on a post-to-post pass from Olivia McKinstry early in the second. Gray scored all 11 of her points in the first half as Ilwaco took a 41-6 lead.

McKinstry also did good work inside, finishing with 10 points. Estella Sheldon had six offensive rebounds, while Gray and McKinstry had five each. Glenn had 12 points, six assists and four steals.
Ilwaco will host Pe Ell Saturday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m., then visit North Beach Tuesday, Jan. 28.
